STEEP GROOMED FOR SKIERS

NO BOARDS HERE. LIKE ALTA, NO SNOWBOARDING AT DEER VALLEY. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT DEER VALLEY HAS THE BEST GROOMING FOR A BIG MOUNTAIN IN THE NATION. CERTAINLY THE BEST IN UTAH. THAT SAID, DEER VALLEY DOES HAVE A GOOD VARIETY OF TERRAIN. GREAT BUMP RUNS (MADE BY SKIERS) AND GOOD OFF TRAIL STEEPS AND TREE RUNS. THE BEST RUNS AT DEER VALLEY ARE THE STEEP GROOMED OFF THE WASATCH AND SULTAN LIFTS. EXCELLENT FOR FAST CRUISING. DEER VALLEY SKI PATROL USUALLY WON'T YELL AT YOU FOR SKIING FAST AS LONG AS YOUR IN CONTROL. IT CAN MAKE FOR A TON OF VERTICAL IF YOUR UP TO IT. LIFT LINES ARE NON-EXISTANT AND THE LUXURY AND SERVICE AT THE RESORT ARE IMPECABLE.

Best in Park City

If you are a skier, and want to ski some great blues, then look no further that Deer Valley. It offers all different types of runs from steeps to cruisers and bumps, but nothing too intimidating. Almost everything is groomed daily. The service is first class, and the cost is really not much more than Park City or The Canyons.

A Nice Place to Slide

Deer Valley is great because of its amenities. The lodges are well appointed and have good food, most of the runs are groomed, limited lift ticket sales keep it uncrowded, etc., etc. You'll pay more for a lfit ticket because of all of this, but it sure is nice.

Go here for a day of cruising, not to practice for your next out-of-bounds backpacking trip, and you'll be happy.
