Rachel has logged 57 days on the snow during the 08-09 season.

Day 57: May 10, 2009

Surprise powder day, with maybe 5" of heavy snow overnight. Awesome for covering up the crust underneath. The East Wall was amazing today.

Day 56: May 09, 2009

Day 55: May 08, 2009

Got to try out some Kastle demos thanks to Phil. Skied with this guy, who was obviously an unbelievable skier:

Met Weems and a handful of other Epic dudes.

Day 54: April 25, 2009

Tuckerman Ravine

Skied Left Gully.

Day 53: March 25, 2009

Last day skiing in Utah. :( :( :( Snowing so hard they closed the canyon road during the afternoon. Not much open, but so so awesome.

Day 52: March 24, 2009

Another great powder day. Ballroom & Backside never opened yesterday, so those were great. Pretty tracked out by 2 or so, but a really awesome morning.

Day 51: March 23, 2009

Crazy awesome powder day -- definitely a top 3 Utah day. Lost Dave & Davar after like 2 runs. Skied a lot off the High T, one awesome lap down Greeley, a bunch of laps in Catherine's, and a few runs down Vail Ridge after I was exhausted.

Day 50: March 22, 2009

Groomer day with Dave & Davar. Probably the worst day conditions-wise since I've been out here, but they're saying 12-16" from the system that's just getting started.

Day 49: March 21, 2009

Ladies Day at Deer Valley with Tracie and friends. Warm == slushy groomer day. Demo'ed the Rossi Attraxion 6's and CX 7's and finally tried the famous DV turkey chili.

Day 48: March 20, 2009

Temps appropriate for the first day of spring -- it was pushing 60 by the afternoon. One more lap on Baldy, where I fell and slid down the last 30 meters of the main chute on my stomach. Awesome. Some random laps in Ballroom and on the Backside, which was ridiculously soft by the afternoon.

Day 47: March 19, 2009

Two more laps in the Main Baldy Chute with Dave, plus a few random groomers under Sugarloaf and Supreme. Less sun plus a little wind made today a really nice day despite the warm temps.

Day 46: March 18, 2009

Two more laps down the Main Baldy Chute, plus a bunch of groomers under Sugarloaf waiting for them to get Baldy open. I really think the main chute the most fun thing I've ever skied. Only drawback: so hot for hiking. So, so hot.

Day 45: March 17, 2009

Some groomers, plus finally got up to East Castle and did 2 laps there. Totally worth it -- best snow on the mountain in the morning for sure. Very satisfying morning.

Day 44: March 15, 2009

Kind of a groomer day, with some laps of Tombstone and a lap on Greeley Bowl thrown in. It's been really warm and I don't think it's going to snow any more while I'm out here. :(

Day 43: March 14, 2009

Nice day at Beaver Mountain with Madeline and Tim. Really warm, but still some really nice snow in the trees in the morning.

Day 42: March 13, 2009

MAIN BALDY CHUTE. It was awesome.

Day 41: March 12, 2009

Easy morning, still pretty beat from the Interconnect. Just wandered around and did a little bit of everything except Catherine's -- Devil's Castle, some Backside runs, a few Vail Ridge runs, a few cruisers.

Day 40: March 11, 2009

Utah Interconnect Tour

Amazing day doing the Interconnect. Great snow, great weather. All-around awesome day.

Day 39: March 10, 2009

Pretty serious powder day with Wendy. Unfortunately, they didn't get much open besides Catherine's. Beautiful day, though.

Day 38: March 08, 2009

Beautiful bluebird day with some nice soft snow. Skied with Alex & friends.

Day 37: March 06, 2009

Not a bad day. Skied a lot of bump runs with Peggy, probably more bumps than I've ever skied in a day. Definitely much improved. Hit the small park in the afternoon with Astrid and nailed 3 non-flat boxes with gaps. Yay!

Day 36: March 05, 2009

High winds had a lot of the mountain closed today, so Mary & I took a full-day bump lesson. It was really good. Dangerously close to becoming a respectable bump skier.

Day 35: March 04, 2009

Not my favorite day. Slid down most of an unbelievably icy Birds of Prey. Otherwise just did some chill groomers and soft bumps.

Day 34: March 02, 2009

Another really warm spring day. Skied some fun new stuff in Blue Sky Basin, including Lover's Leap and Skree Field. Fun day. Goggle tan really coming along now despite my best sunblock efforts.

Day 33: March 01, 2009

Day 1 of the Diva Summit. Warm, spring-like day. Lot of fun runs, including my first time in the Lake Chutes and the bowl above Peak 7.

Day 32: February 27, 2009

Snowed maybe 4-5" overnight, leading to a pretty serious dust on crust day. After checking out Catherine's and Backside, just ended up doing chill laps under the Sunnyside chair. Beautiful bluebird day.

Day 31: February 26, 2009

Fun morning in the trees off Pioneer with Alex and his friends from New Orleans.

Day 30: February 25, 2009

Nice morning with Fern and her friend. North-facing stuff is still decent, but overall kind of icy where everything has melted and re-frozen. Snow please. Also, colder.

Day 29: February 24, 2009

Another bluebird groomer day. Skied with the "Ski with the Girls" ladies at Alta and had a really nice time. Will definitely ski with them again.

Day 28: February 22, 2009

Groomer day. Everything's kind of bumpy and/or baked. Skied with some Alex and some of her friends. A lot of fun.

Day 27: February 21, 2009

Bluebird day at Snowbird with JWah. Did a bootpack up above the Mineral Basin traverse and sweat through 2 layers of clothing. Super warm.

Day 26: February 20, 2009

Another gorgeous bluebird day. Did a lap in Catherine's and finally got out to Devil's Castle, which was still really nice way out by the wall.

Day 25: February 19, 2009

Beautiful bluebird day at Brighton with Denise. Lots of nice tree shots and generally still really nice soft snow in out-of-the-way places.

Day 24: February 18, 2009

Another powder day. Took them a while to get stuff open, but did a few laps off the High T, a few laps on the backside, and a few easy runs under the Sunnyside chair. Also took my first real fall in powder, diving in face first and totally burying myself.

Day 23: February 17, 2009

Fantastic powder morning off the 9900 lift. Skied with Wendy. Lots of great skiing.

Day 22: February 15, 2009

Spent most of the day skiing off the Eagle Chair with Eric, but got a few really nice runs down Honeycomb in. Beautiful weather and still a lot of nice snow. Got cliffed out on Milk Run -- very stupid.

Day 21: February 14, 2009

Insane morning in Catherine's Area with Alex -- thigh high in a few places. Eric took a lesson in the morning, and then we did a bunch of runs off Sunnyside in the afternoon. Snowing pretty hard all day.

Day 20: February 12, 2009

Another awesome day. Spent all day lapping the backside and the easier trees under the Sunnyside Chair. Great great conditions.

Day 19: February 11, 2009

Still tons of powder. Did 3 or 4 runs in Catherine's Area, a run on the backside, and a few runs down Tombstone, and they were all still pretty deep.

Day 18: February 10, 2009

Drove up at 6am to beat the road closure, and then the road re-opened at 7:30. Oh well. Demo'ed some Salomon Czar's and they skied me more than I skied them. Really nice powder day, though. Hit Ballroom just as it opened and lapped it all afternoon, waist-high powder all over the place.

Day 17: February 08, 2009

Another great day with Tracy & friends. Randomly, Evan was also there. Two traverses/hikes up to Cathedral, which was super nice.

Day 16: February 07, 2009

Skied with Alex, her aunt & uncle, cousin and friend. Really nice snow today. Got shown around a lot.

Day 15: February 06, 2009

First powder day. :) Only 5-6", probably, but over my boots in places and a really nice first powder day. Skied with a cool Alta liftie who I will hopefully ski with again.

Day 14: February 05, 2009

Pretty chill morning. Learned how to traverse out to West Rustler. We could use some snow.

Day 13: February 04, 2009

Bought a season pass. :) Skied with a nice guy named Bernie from Chicago whose wife didn't want to ski since she recently found out she was pregnant. Also got shown around a little by a SLC guy who basically told me I was out of shape when I said I wasn't acclimated yet. :)

Day 12: January 19, 2009

Day 11: January 18, 2009

Day 10: January 17, 2009

Day 9: January 16, 2009

Day 8: January 03, 2009

Surprise powder morning! They got maybe 4-5" overnight and the canyon area was really fun before lunch. FINALLY got in the trees!

Day 7: January 02, 2009

Day 6: January 01, 2009

Day 5: December 20, 2008

Fun day with decent snow after a big northeast storm. Nailed a higher box with a gap and tried the Big Air Bag.

Day 4: December 14, 2008

Another small park day. Did that same box, plus spent a lot of time hitting 3 good sized kickers. Getting much better in the air. Also a lot of practice skiing switch.

Day 3: December 13, 2008

Kind of icy, gondola closed. Spent a lot of time on a great ride-on box, maybe 15' long.

Day 2: November 30, 2008

Skied the morning with Justin doing mainly Long John. Got better at skiing backwards! Afternoon on Carinthia with Jason and Dave. Hit my biggest kicker yet and did my first boxslides of the season.

Day 1: November 23, 2008

Day 1! Lots of laps on Chute.
